I feel the world will be better off without twitter.

I donno man,  people have been announcing the doom of twitter for a year and its still here. Musk's bottomline hasnt been hit as hard as predicted either.

I dunno, this feels like some really big brain incompetence. Its the type of thing you do when you are protesting, not the type of thing you do to uh... get more users or revenue or something?
The corp can keep limping along for who knows how long, but if the website stays shut down like this its pretty much already dead for your average internet user.

Sadly you are right about musk though. Even if twitter collapses tomorrow he's still rich as the devil.

Getting things out the way, and on top of that I had a great Indian ready meal (Looking at the ingredients there were literally no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives either which is great) that was low in calories. I need to look up a recipe for it to be honest.

preservatives either which is great)
It's got where, whenever I see this, I end up having to ask: Was it really salt free? Because if so, I'm interested, heh.

... but most of the time when I see that line, the product is actually full of go-die levels of sodium, one of the o.g. preservatives. Which is perpetually disappointing, 'cause it'd be a lot easier to source stuff if it wasn't for that asterisk they keep forgetting to put after "preservatives" indicating they mean everything except salt :P

Congrats!

Although it appears that Telegram is the Next Big Thing. I've heard it mentioned a lot.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Yeah it is done. RIP in piss.

Huh, first time I heard Twitter was going down down, even if it's been in the air for a while. I hope the data scrapers did their work of recording the site in the days before, it would be a shame if all that historical data was lost. Good for humanity at large though.

Apparently the issue is that he hasn't paid rent to AWS, so his server space has been dramatically reduced.

EDIT: My preferred uni has given me a place, so I'm all sorted for that. Got my accommodation working, SFE's going to be getting my mitigating circumstances letter and hopefully accept it (At the very least, my uni should be able to help if SFE don't because we discussed this at an open day and they offered assistance), and I've made two very easy job applications for nearby summer jobs.

I'm feeling pretty good today, definitely.

... one of these days I am going to look up laws on vehicle painting, though. I'd love to turn my ride into a purple zen tangle, but I'm not 100% sure it'd be legal, just due to how distracting that sort of patterning can be.
I'd like to introduce you to the concept of vinyl wrapping your car.

Saw what my wife believe was a Cooper’s hawk in our yard, it having caught another birdy to eat before it flew off with its prize.

It left a pile of feathers behind, which means it may have caught something in our yard before, as when we returned from a 2 week vacation there was a similar pile of feathers that we attributed to a cat. This is a little bit cooler than that.

That's... neat. Entirely too regular for what I'd want, but it does suggest there's not a major problem with the general idea.

E: Replacement hard drive arrived and installed, seems to even be working (substantially better than the old one even disregarding the whole "getting prompts to repair it due to corruption twice a day" thing). Now to... do stuff to it.

E2: Now if only I could get the computer to stop setting my entire friggin d drive to read only I could actually use it aaaaahhh
