Good luck MZ! Here's hoping it goes well and the recovery smoothly.

Surgery number 7 on my lower back is scheduled for next month. Hopefully this is the one to put me back on my feet. Six weeks of recovery puts me at Sep 6 for the complete heal date.
This is why I never tried to talk a street brawler that I met into prizefighting. He broke a guys jaw with a single punch, but was in his early 30's and I figured that I would just be signing him up for a short career with a lifetime of pain.

Hope you have a swift recovery.

I discovered the bliss of smoked tea. Golden Lapsang Souchong. It smells like an outdoor campfire, and it tastes really nice!

Getting over my cold. Chest is still painful, but nowhere near as bad as it was.

smoked tea.
But how do you keep it lit to smoke it, I need to know because I can't for the life of me smoke a cup of tea as it keeps putting the flame out.

The trick is to not add the water and just smoke the loose leaves.

You guys remember that last episode of season 1 of Helluva Boss? The one stuck in developer/legal hell?

Well, it's out now!

Now that I've had time to think about it, why does Stolas get publicly humiliated for his relationship with Blitz? Several other high-ranked demons have relationships with lower-ranked demons; Asmodeus has Fizzarolli, whose relationship goes so far that Ozzie gave cybernetic enhancements to Fizz. Beelzebub has Tex, and hellhounds rate lower than imps(and Bee is ranked above Stolas). Charlie, the daughter and heir to Lucifer, has a Sinner as a lover. And Lucifer's wife, Lilith, may or may not be human, or at least formerly one.

Is it because Stolas is married? Even though every observer can plainly see that it's a loveless, abusive marriage that only existed to fulfill a contract that had largely already been fulfilled by the time Stolas' relationship with Blitz started.

I would guess it's probably some combination of
Birds are assholes, as Egan says. As seemingly mostly superfluous nobility without much hope for advancement into true rulership they probably don't have much to do other then play social and political games against each other.
Stolas has thin skin and demons are assholes. It bothers Stolas when others make fun of him for it, which is probably why they do. If he didn't care or just killed those who made fun of him, they'd probably not do it as much.
Asmodeus and Beelzebub (and Charlie) are too high up in the social order to be bothered by others for their personal habits. As seven deadly sins they have a very small pool of peers with the social and personal power to make fun of them, just each other, basically. Since they occupy a unique place in the hellish hierarchy, they are allowed and probably expected to act uniquely.

My sister's wedding was yesterday. I don't think I've seen seen that many people on my dad's side of the family together since I was still in highschool.

I've been vaguely contemplating a tattoo for the past two-three years.

Talked so someone with one about theirs, and it's sort of renewed my interest but this time my inability to come up with an idea is kind of... nice? It feels like it's brimming with potential rather than me just being a bit dumb and unable to decide.

Maybe it's just my lack of depression means that I'm getting fewer negative and more positive slants on things like this, or maybe there's been some other psychological shift, or maybe it's just that I'm taking it more seriously now.

I *have* decided if I get one the first will be a small one to cover up my self harm scars (Which are thankfully very minor and not super visible, and thoroughly in my past now so I neither need nor want reminders) and give me a feel for it, after that I'd like some sort of forearm tattoo on the other arm. Not a full sleeve, but not just a small one either.
