Babysitting my nephew and a (9 week old) kitten for my sister. Nephew's been good, talked about pokemon and MrBeast a lot, hasn't been trying to do wrestling moves on me at all. The kitten is super cuddly. Had him snuggled up on my chest for a bit, currently taking a break from playing with him while he's in a zoomy state.

Need to phone home and make sure that my tortoise's lights are turned off for bed.

So the B-plot in my book had more holes than a nice block of Swiss cheese but I mostly fixed it now.

Suddenly started feeling a lot more confident because I just sort of realised that so many of the things I get nervous about are actually really low stakes, my brain just overemphasises the importance of them.

Don't know how long it'll last. I'm hoping it'll last for the rest of my life to some degree or other, but Christ that revelation feels liberating.
Feeling disappeared after a sleep, but I managed to drag it back from the depths.

Hooray, I might have just de-anxietied and up-confidenced myself!

Mom got a metal detector for a mother's day present, and I'm actually pretty excited about it too. I took it through the kitchen while it was on and it played Darude - Sandstorm as I was walking through.

Are Erics inherently good at advertising? Is that a thing? Like one would expect a Chester to play some kind of sport where they have uniforms with vertical stripes?

That is a very cool tool.

Well I'm shit at advertising, I never sold any vacuum cleaners and I never convinced anybody to try Seneca cigarettes - which we got a bonus for from the Seneca rep at the smoke shop. And yeah smokers are stubborn and refuse to change their habits/try a different brand, but my coworker got like a dozen people to try them. I just suck.

Clearly if you can't get the smokers to try 'em you just gotta sell them to the non-smokers. You know, increase the overall amount of evil in the world by a little bit.

Seneca are another brand of cigarettes in the US, their selling points were being Native owned and using less additives, and buying from the same tobacco crops as Marlboro. I don't know much else about them tbh.

I don't think any amount of compensation can make up for having to tell that manchild that no, he's not allowed to do literally whatever he wants on a daily basis.

The mind boggles on the number of junior attorneys that must burn through.

There's been at least one lawsuit from the legal teams involved with him and twitter over not being paid for services rendered, heh. Some of his legal teams might be decently compensated, but there's no guarantee of it.
