Beyond burgers are fucking ace.

Made a double-stacked burger (I'd intended to put some other bits and pieces in there but didn't for various reasons) and it was juicy as fuck. Not just some watery juice either, they were greasy.

Ech, I remember looking at those not too long ago and, just. It'd be nice if they had a version that wasn't literally 5 times saltier than the cheap meat burger patties I've been subsisting on lately, y'know? I am willing to try these things if they're willing (able?) to not try to kill my blood pressure, heh.

Huh!  Like yeah they're heavily pre-seasoned, that's a valid concern.  But I mainly just want Beyond Meat to be affordable, and that's not going to happen under capitalism.

I actually like my [redacted] today.  I'm feeling good about my body, even the arbitrary secondary sexual characteristics.
Also some of my lib friends are being very anarchic too!  Yay :D  No gods no masters no gender!

Heck, I don't even really worry about heavily pre-seasoned (I pile stuff on pretty decently when I'm cooking myself these days), it's just the seasoning kinda' needs to be something that's not going to try quite so hard to kill me, ha. There's plenty of stuff that tastes good without quite so many health concerns, folks just prefer to lean real hard on salt and/or sugar first, and everything else a distant second. It's a pain for both culinary variety and heart disease, natch.

God bless the French.

It seems like the French have been protesting for over four years now over one thing or another. Perhaps it's just my lack of perspective not being French, but it doesn't seem as if this has changed that much.

French Sixth Republic never ever.
Third French Empire never ever.
Bourbon Restoration Restoration never ever.

Parents are back from visiting my sister in Qatar. My week of being my mum's dog's primary caregiver is over.

Went well all things considered. I don't think he's chewed any of my stuff in that time, though he did try to chew on some resin putty I had forgotten under my bed a few years ago.* It's meant to be harmless if swallowed anyway, but still not something I want him chewing up.

He did bring a pizzle and a cow hoof into my room though, so now my room smells of jerky and soggy keratin. Wonderful.

*The putty is older than the dog. Still good putty though.

In even better news, my cousin has gotten a new kitten and I got to meet her the other day, and she's absolutely adorable. Energetic but also calm and friendly, knows not to use her claws when playing, loves cuddles and is completely chill with being picked up.

Should I sepearate the topics here via line breaks?

Health insurance for my leave has been confirmed. This is the biggest fucking weight off of my neck because I'm going on leave due to health issues and the specialists I need to see would have been outrageously expensive otherwise. Ugh. Thank fuck
