I'm getting way more refund for my taxes than I'd like.  Like seriously, I could have had almost $400 more per month in my pocket, actually earning interest for once...

Have you changed jobs during the year or something? Or maybe the tax system was revamped? Why was the estimated tax you owed so off the mark?

Yes I did change jobs during the year, which was the prime contributor. Plus we did some home improvements and I was able to claim almost $1000 in tax credits for some of them.

Would have been even more ridiculous if they hadn't changed the law in August; the EV I bought lost its eligibility for the $7500 credit.  Which to be fair is an insane tax credit.

I do need to double check all my numbers though...last year I had an error and had to pay a $28 +interest correction.

Sensei at Jitsu thinks I'm good enough to try for my next grading. Dunno if I'll give it a go this time, I'll sit on it a couple days, but even if I don't simply being told that's nice.
