I'm the Christian son of a Jewish mother, so we get to celebrate Christmas alongside the last night of Hanukkah today - is weird, but good :D

I have returned home from Christmas.

Seeing family is great, but boy howdy is it exhausting. The niece is still cute, if impetuous (at three, this is no surprise), I only had one spat about politics (no, brother, the pizzagate guy and Tim Pool are not good conservative ideological models and stop parroting the suicide number for transgender people like providing affirming care is the problem), the drive there and back was safe despite the weather, got some fun and thoughtful swag (and, in total, four bottles of liquor, oof), and managed to get everyone in my sphere some thoughtful gifts. I brought a puzzle to assemble so we could do a family activity that wasn't cards or dominoes (very tired games by this point) and that was a great hit, my parents clued in better about how we each sometimes need to introvert and how we handle holiday stress, we had plenty enough hands to help with cooking for everyone. Fewer emotions rubbed raw, lower intensity holidays.

Bonus, I'm not obligated to make the trek again for new years. Time to cozy in to end out the year.

Didn't/Never had a happy holidays here (*given foster family situations) but! Always happy this time of year due to found family. The power people wield when they found their relationships on ideals and Thought and communication and more.

Yeah, I've began disliking my willy so I'm hoping to be able to hide the thing.

Blood test says I'm healthy, which is actually a bit of a surprise. A few more things to rule out, at least.

I asked my doctor if there were any other tests I should get, but she said nothing came to mind.

My cousin got married today and even though I was unable to attend (due to living thousands of miles away) they called me and let me know I was missed.
