I hate mystery liver issues, I got in trouble a couple of years when they found one in my freezer and were like wtf

On a serious note I think I said last time you spoke about it (it was probably you? somebody here on bay12 talked about giving plasma) that I wanted to look into doing that too. I still haven't. I probably should consider this a reminder.

I'd complained about how all the UK's plasma donation centres are in the south, literally none further north than Birmingham which is a bit ridiculous.

There are more Northern plasma donation centres that opened up last year to service all the English regions like the one in Stockton, Barnsley, Manchester e.t.c. but people don't know about them. There's also all the ones in Scotland that still haven't put themselves on google maps for some reason, but they're there

Moving is done. That's good!
It was exhausting and I damaged the paint a little. That's bad!
Internet is running at my new apartment. That's good!
The toilet leaks used bowl-water when I flush. That's bad!
There's a plumber on the way today. That's good!
I can't really take a shower unless I want to get surprised by the plumber. That's stinky!
My rent & utilities is cut by half. That's good!
My blinds disintegrated when I tried to adjust them. That's bad!
The previous tenants from a few years prior left a nice rug which now lives under my desk. That's good!
They also left a giant couch-that-transforms-into-a-bed that won't fit through the doorway. That's bad!

Edit: There's dust clods big enough to choke on atop each of the ceiling fan blades. Holy crap!

My roommate is gone. That's a lot of emotions!

We had a really great six months. He's on his way to his first truly full-time position nearish to his long-term girlfriend with a great big nest-egg with all the money he saved as my roommate. I'm so excited for what he has ahead of him and I'm glad we had all this time to kick it together. It's gonna be lonely, though. We had a really, really good run, and now I'm sad and hopeful and can breathe a sigh of total independence and will miss him plenty.

Still plenty of unpacking to do. Perhaps I'll take up streaming again.

Well since all I ever play is adventure mode, I will buy it to inflate the charts but keep playing ASCII.

Excited, also disappointed because of the lack of adventure mode.

Not sure if the new version's ASCII release will support Adventure Mode, either. Sounds like the menus were the prohibitive thing there. Just a heads up.

Even without Adventurer mode, I'm still impressed that The Game That Would Never Be Complete has a Steam release in a little over a month.

Won't the "Classic" version keep getting updates?

Honestly I don't care for the new UI etc if there's no adv mode. Once that's ported over to the Steam version I will abandon ASCII but for now nah it will sit in my library with 0 hours played.

As I understand it, yes, both will be released and updated at the same time, and as we know the Premium version won't have adventure mode, I assumed the Classic wouldn't as well.

I meant Classic as in the current one with the shitty UI. Would be weird for Toady to just cut out a huge part of the game out of the new content updates.

In any case it's not forever, right?

Cutting out Adventure mode from the free edition seems kind of absurd. If that happens, older versions with adventure mode intact would be available to download from elsewhere anyhow.

Right, it's just not finished so would be a buggy mess. They emphasized getting a release out the door rather than waiting another six months plus to finish it off. My guess is that all the construction stuff with camps in adventure mode needs to be rewritten to fit in with the new interface. That will be true of classic, too, as we've already seen what the new UI looks like in ASCII.

EDIT: Using pronouns is unclear.
The next release of DF should release simultaneously on Steam and for free on the Bay12Games site. The Steam/Itch premium version has Adventure Mode disabled currently, and will be re-enabled in a later update.
Whether the free version will have it or not is unknown, but I expect it will also be disabled until that later update.
