Protein folding is just origami with meat right?

Isn’t it more like when your mom does your laundry?

Same here. Air pressure suddenly dropped so rapidly, it sucked my windows shut. Crazy strong wind surges all of a sudden, with heavy thunder follwing soon after. They're expecting a 'super cell' thunderstorm over East-Brabant tomorrow, with even a small chance of tornadoes. Crazy weather.

Handicapped crew best crew!

They listen, they don't haggle, they genuinly try their best, and the most attention they are ever going to require from me is asking me to ELI5 why we do this or that, but they wouldn't bother if they didn't trust me.

Bless 'em.

Went to a local (kinda famous?) punk house. Fun times, met some old friends from a while back. Hurt my neck with all the jumping around and headbanging though.

Mother in law gave me money to get a new lawn mower for my birthday (yay being an adult).  So I got an electric one I've been eyeing.

Holy cow I should have done that sooner!  Way lighter and easier to mow than using my 30-year-old gasoline mower.  And the battery for the one I got lasted more than halfway through my yard, which is what I was hoping, because my yard is big enough that I usually split it up into two sessions anyway.  I don't think I could do the whole yard; the battery had between 20 and 40% capacity (2 of 5 bars showing) when I stopped after 40 minutes of mowing, and I had done about 60% of my yard.

Christ mowing the lawn is a pointless homeowner task.

I should probably look into local regs to see what I can get away with.

Eh, only sometimes. Overgrown lawnage can be a legit issue if you're in an area prone to certain sorts of critters (mostly snakes) or significant fire hazard or whatever. There's also stuff you can do to mitigate that issue outside of mowing, but... still. Not always pointless, just often :P

by which Frumple obviously means that obnoxious neighbor that calls the cops/government because your lawn is higher than 3 inches/6cm long.

Nah, I live in a small rural town. When I say snakes, I mean snakes, the scaly things that bite and inject neurotoxins or whatever :P

They like tall grass. Think pokemon, only instead of magical cock fighting you get to bury your pets!

... which, uh. Isn't exactly happy thread material unless you really don't like your pets, I guess?
