Never tried it with other kind of beer, guess it would work with any beer that is not thick.

My brother and I went through a big pile of DVDs a week ago as he was moving, and he loaned me about a dozen as recommendations.  My DVD drive isn't hooked up but I do have a Playstation 2.  They look horrible through it - the color saturation is far too high, and I think the contrast is low.  Might be my TV-monitor's settings.  But I don't mind.  Cinematography is cool and all but I process most movies and shows like they're radio programs.
When people stop talking for too long I take a look out of curiosity

But my desperately ironic counter-culturalism aside, these are some nice movies so far.

Oceans 12 and 13.  Hadn't seen 12, it was pretty good.  13 is still fun too.  I had to look at these a lot to follow what was going on, very visual.  I like heist stuff.

Heat, which is better and less fun than the Oceans series.

Fun With Dick And Jane which has some weird premise about Jim Carrey going from riches to rags then becoming a thief?  Jim Carrey's reliably good though so I'll give it a shot.
Oh and Bruce Almighty which I haven't seen in ages

The Stepford Wives, not exactly a recommendation  but something I've always meant to see.  Seems an appropriate time.

Walk The Line, which is apparently about Johnny Cash and not tennis.  We like Johnny Cash and brother said it's good.

The Island, something about escaping an Island but apparently it's more than just an action flick

From Paris With Love which is just an action flick, but John Travolta is bald with a big beard and that's funny to me

Lady In The Water because I need to see if it's as weird as people always meme.  I generally enjoy Shyamalan though he's definitely under and over rated.

The Day After Tomorrow, which I thought was 28 Days Later but is the climate disaster movie.  Leery of this one.

And finally The Forgotten, a recommendation from my mom, something about a lady who recovers from death only to find out she was deleted from the timeline?  Mom described it like a ghost thing and maybe it is, could be interesting.

What about the part where they defeat the flash freeze thing by burning the books in a library instead of the furniture, or the part where the people going to New York come in and appear to be in front of the Statue of Liberty as if the walked in from the ocean.

That was a really dumb movie, I say its something you should watch.

so i actually have the 2006 version of the stepford wives, and had been meaning to see it.


ummmmm, i cant.  its awful.  it doesnt take itself seriously, its shallow, and all the usual suspects of crappy summer flicks are in it.


I remember it being adverted as a suspense with maybe a bit of danger/murder mystery in it

I had a teacher at school who would make us watch this to make us aware of the climate emergency... while telling us we'd all be dead in 10 years. Nice guy!
