Oh heck yeah!  Welcome to having dyed hair!  In my experience it worked out far better than I expected.  I went "purple" but it quickly went pink, which turned out to work almost better.  A partial dying is probably smarter, easier to cut it off if you have to, but I think you're going to enjoy this.
I actually used to wear it dyed back when I was in the cage, back in 02-08. It was teal stripes instead of blue, though. I just missed it. I was worried that I'd be too old and fat to pull the look off, but it seems okay, and makes me happy.

A fellow employee has started saying hello to me, smiling, and laughing at everything I say. I now understand these could be signs.
Some new temps started also. One, a hot medicine student, talked to me at length and laughed genuinely at all my weird jokes, which is always nice. Another one of the temps was smiling at me on and off and shouted "bye [my name]!!" with a grin as she went away. I have no idea how she knew my name. I don't recall speaking to her.

Anyway, wacky day. And I'm not saying any of the above means anything. But best case scenario, three good looking and intelligent girls are into me. Worst case scenario three people were nice and in two instances enjoyable to talk to. Both are happies.

Wow, quite the catch, eh?  :P

Also, weren't you like 75% to a GF a while back. How did that turn out? You might've posted about that, I just don't remember seeing it, lol.

A mix of things happened there, one being that I didn't think she was right for me. So I delayed until she figured I wasn't interested and got a different fella. I was a bit disappointed at the time, but the reasons for delaying seem rational now.

It does seem that way. I was thinking of the old bus metaphor myself, though  :P

What's that?
Oh, I believe it's actually a simile. "Men are like buses. You get three at a time."
Oh! Wait. Just realised it might be from a poem. Hold on I'll look...

Yep, by Wendy Cope. What a pessimist :P

@Joshua

Drat.

If anyone wants to run on Hyperion, let me know. Got a nice bunch of people I've been playing with for around 5 years now. They are sprout-friendly, always down to help do stuff.

In-game-name is Dunamis Mavros.

I'm not sure if I chose correctly, because I was only given a choice of what set of worlds to pick from, but Hyperion was on the list. Maybe we could spin this off into a new thread?

Edit: I don't think the game is going to let me choose this randomly-generated name "C'mona Nunh" because it's obviously filthy.

Evidently my place of employment is being somewhat sensible.

I can take time off if I want to self-quarantine and will receive no disciplinary points (nonsense system) and I get $2 extra an hour for 3 months, though I imagine this is to make people less inclined to take time off.

In Spain there's an enforced quarantine for all nonessential workers. Everyone gets full wages during the interim, but it's counted as "holidays". Enforced, locked-in holidays. And workers are expected to recoup it using their own holiday time or working longer hours afterwards.
In addittion, corporations that cannot afford to do that can do "temporary layoffs", during which workers will get unemployment benefits from the goverment but will have to be rehired afterwards

Not sure how I feel about the exact measures (TBH the central goverment has been bungling this quite a bit from the beginning, what with the delays in starting lockdowns, and the flailing about with crisis management. About the only thing they've gotten right is keeping the lockdown strict.  Regional goverments, comparatively speaking, have done a much better job)

Here in Sweden, instead of offering special crisis reimbursement to freshly fired people (from taxes instead of the unemployment funds), they just decided to just open up the unemployed insurances to (figuratively) everyone.

Which is awful and violating one of the key socialist aspects of the system in order to benefit selfish liberals who just want the "to me according to need" and none of the "from each according to ability".

True story. I was never like, a pro level fighter, more like a...high-level-amateur/extremely-low-level-pro type. A fights-mostly-in-warehouses type. A maybe-500-people-crowd type.

But yeah, I went 78-12-0-1 over 8 years. Scored 66 KOs and 8 Submissions. Sometimes I was fighting every week. Fought in a lot of tournaments that aren't counted in that tally, as well (but that was closer to 15 years total.) Last time I counted, the tally was over 300 bouts. I was extremely self-destructive back then, and boy did my health implode spectacularly, but I still miss it.

Well, it's good that the disease will be 100% gone, and nobody will be able to catch it when people are forced back to work for extra hours. Otherwise they'd have a hell of a second spike there.
