Started a new game of OREGON TRAIL II.
I initially was planning on actually playing, but then someone insisted that I try as hard as possible to kill everyone, but only via disease based means. It's 2020 after all.
Formerly not a MD in any way, now a Doctor.
You don't even get the time-honored "drive through the river with no preparation" or "1 billion bullets, no food, and I'm not going to hunt"?
Excuse me sir.
I left town with 1400 bacon, 6 rifles, 50 boxes of bullets, and 50 gallons of whiskey.
Everyone but my leader is dead and all of my oxen just died due to gopher attacks in the middle of the rockies. I no longer can pull the wagon with my remaining oxen. I have therefore spent all my money buying luxury foodstuffs and am going to RP living out of this wagon shooting every gopher in sight until old age takes me.
Quickedits: Probably the 31 gallons of remaiing whiskey and hundreds of dollars with of laudanum and tobacco will do it first. It's anyone's game.
My wagon wheel just broke. The wagon is immobile and not moving. It hasn't moved for weeks. Actually, I just looked at the date. It's April. I stopped moving in December.
EDIT: I just discovered that it is the weight of the wagon/remaining oxen not taken by the gopher menace. We are slowly, ever so slowly, picking up speed as Dr. Germfriend smokes all that tobacco and snorts that laudanum. We gots to dope our way out of this one, boys.
Another animal was just taken by the gophers. The solution was obviously to butcher it and load it into the wagon. A glutton's work is never done.
ANOTHER EDIT: Dr. Germfriend has suffered three accidental gunshot wounds this month.
FINAL EDIT: Dr. Germfriend froze to death after spending his last remaining money on a thermometer.
