In the voice of the Thermians*: "Those poor Swedish monarchs!"

The name doesn't ring a bell, though it did make someone turn inside out and explode.

And remembering that scene made me happy.

And Sweden of course has the same language comedy as Norway, and the penny analog for a crown is an "ear"... Because what else would be under a crown?

As for the molcajete, the reason you use it for some things is because it's made of porous stone and thereby can be seasoned to add flavor to whatever you prepare in it. As for why it's expensive to buy online, it's because it's made of porous stone. Shipping things like that is expensive, sometimes a lot more expensive than whatever the actual item costs.

There are a lot of decorative mortars (fun fact, the projectile-lobbing cannon called a "mortar"? It's called that because of its resemblance to the grinding bowl mortar) and pestles floating around, because who doesn't love the aesthetic of once-practical tools being rendered incapable of their former usage, but finding one that actually works for food without chipping/being generally shit is another matter. And I was speaking more for greatorder's apparent mortar accessibility, not my own.

For some reason I have this awesome image of paying for things in actual crowns.

Much less interchangeable than these undefined pounds that could be made of anything, no wonder sweden is doing great. Think of those poor polish though: it is hard to fit but one slutty in your wallet, and with those exchange rates... you basically need like a bus worth of promiscuous people to buy a pack of cigarettes.

They're clearly defined as sterling though

Sterling silver princess prostitutes are clearly the best possible currency for Europe.

I would much rather exchange my fat wads of 'Murican bucks for some cold, hard royal ass.

Imagine how ripped we'd all be if we had to carry a pound of silver around for every nominal buck we were gonna need.

Fuckin shredded yo.

Found some more walnut and decided to see how far I can slim down towards a minimal saw handle without losing integrity and sturdiness during use.

Surprisingly it's just as comfortable as a chunky handle once I got the shaping tweaked up right, but the added litheness really enhances the awareness of blade orientation/resistance.
