Despite my usual state of disorganised-ness and a public transport mishap arising from this city's stupid habit of repeating street numbers, I have managed to make it out to a gig for the first time in... I don't know, weeks.

I found a really interesting article on native american armour.

It made sense that the NAs used armour before the introduction of the gun: almost everyone did in some way or another, but I'd never seen it depicted or even mentioned before. They made armour out of sand-reinforced leather and out of wood or bone slats and rods (and possibly copper in some areas). They did stop using it as the gun was introduced, as did, well, pretty much everyone did with their armour when guns showed up.

This led to one of the most fascinating and under-appreciated aspects of the Native American military complex: the armored war horse.

Pepperoni, perhaps? i hear in spain they have something called Embutido. italy has a spreadable sausage called 'Nduja. but then there's always that good old standard Italian Sausage.
