Actually, if you throw your sword, the bout will simply be halted, the touch will be annulled if your throw hit the opponent, and your "abnormal fencing action" will earn you a yellow card on first offense, red card on subsequent times. Tackling your opponent, on the other hand, is a "Dangerous, violent or vindictive action" which will earn you a red card every time. It's surprisingly hard to get disqualified from fencing for anything that isn't literally cheating (or refusing to salute the opponent, the referee and the audience before and after a bout, because that's serious business).

The curly shavings everywhere are from the new plane I got over on the right behind my dual-blade-length rope tensioned coping saw design.

Technically there is a flaw on that test dovetailed joint, the pins were slightly too tight and the final bit of knocking it into place with my mallet started to split the tailboard a little but fuck it they're snugged up perfectly so I'm happy.

That Mordhau shit is probably over the top for folks who don't intuitively read df combat reports and see what's going on immediately, so instead it just comes off as being surprisingly hilarious.

I did some more work on cleaning my apartment, I'm making good progress, though I have to do it in bits and pieces because everything is caked in dust and disturbing it triggers my asthma. Otherwise dormant, it rises when the perfect conditions are met, and tries to convince my body to kill itself.
