Went out to feed the crows and collect some brambles and found my neighbour left a basket of cooking apples for me. So many apples. What do? (Apart from live on apple pie for a fortnight)

But if you want dinner suggestions I have a great recepy for an apple pork cardamom sauce that goes great with pasta.

I can also supply recwpies for apple pie and/or apple cake.

The apples were after I gave them some homemade cake (excess cake, what a problem to solve), after they gifted some green beans, after I gave them some elderberry jam, after they gave me a blackberry bush. So I think we are already in the middle of a gift war hahah.

There's uh, apple-kabobs, apple creole, apple gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple apple, lemon apple, coconut apple, pepper apple, apple soup, apple stew, apple salad, apple and potatoes, apple burger, apple sandwich. That- that's about it.

One thing I've wanted to do for years is to make cider but I still haven't been able to find an apple press+mincer. They're a bit harder to mash up than berries.

I'll probably make a pie, but there's way more than I need for that. Could boil up the rest into sauce and can them I suppose. Apple and cardamom sounds interesting and good.
