Don't remember if I joined pre-Z or not, though. Certainly played it, but I recall some of my earliest posts being bug reports for Z-level interactions so I'unno.

Yeah the 3d version came out pretty soon after then. I was playing a 2d version of DF I got in a disc from a gaming magazine at that point. Do gaming magazine demo discs exist these days? Do magazines exist? I've not been in the outside world in a long time.

Ah tell me about it that game is too popular with kids. My niece and nephew bug me to play it all the time when I'm around, and then all they do it chase me around with swords but if I kill them, they start crying. Need to toughen them up with some permadeath roguelikes...
