I dont think idaho state police even check anymore. One of our pseudoneighbors (gotta be at least a mile down the road) has been shooting something with an entirely unreasonable refire rate. Either he really knows how to pump that trigger on a semi auto or its been modified.

Been re-reading Stray Bullets for the first time in a while.
Now that's already a big ol' pile of Happy, but...

Spoiler: (I just realised this turned into a massively long-winded ramble since it is 2am and I am both sleepy and extremely excited, so, you're welcome) (click to show/hide)

...it also made me realised that it's been some time since I last checked to see if any new TPBs had come out... y'see, I had been keeping up religiously with the series, but then I missed a couple of issues shortly after the start of the Sunshine and Roses arc.

At the time I figured I'd just wait for the arc to wrap up and be released as a collected volume like the others, since they generally didn't go for too long and reading comics digitally sucks the joy out of it, same as books... and I didn't much like the idea of shelling out for all the shipping costs that would be involved in getting physical copies delivered from the US.

Unfortunately, that arc turned out to be a lot longer than expected. Can't remember exactly how many, but it seemed to be going on for a lot of issues, without a TPB in sight, and eventually I got tired of awkwardly hassling anyone I bought comics off.
Actually, to be honest, I kinda stopped buying comics in general once catching up with SB didn't seem likely to happen any time soon, since it's so vastly superior to most any other series that they're hardly worth bothering with... I felt like one of those cocaine addicts trying to fill their hunger for China White with crack or something.

I guess I just kinda figured I'd know somehow when the chance came to get back onboard, y'know? Not sure how that would work. I don't even have any friends who follow comics.

But anyway, tonight, or, rather, this morning, I did some googling and -- after an unpleasant moment of mounting panic when Image's cruddy website made it look like the series died years ago -- I found that there has been not one but three collected editions since last I checked! Hallelujah!

It seems like this year they've finally started pumping then out.
Said volumes do seem to be just different chapters of that same arc, though, which is perhaps... ah, never mind, too difficult to explain to the uninitiated.
Incredibly exciting in any case!

Tl;dr: Just discovered that not one but three collected volumes of the series have finally come out this year, so I can get on track to catching back up at last!

I'd pretty much given up hope!
I'm gonna call my comic store first thing tomorrow! Err... later today, that is. After I read some more of the first 41-issue collection and then sleep off this binge.
