Any suggestions on a good instant ramen?   The stuff we can get our hands on here in the states is... well.. MaMa looks "good" in comparison. (I am not a fan of several of their flavors, but I do like the creamy tom-yum with some veggies.)

Seriously, Maruchan instant ramen is beyond "bad" quality, and it is the principle thing people think of when you say "ramen" around here.

But since it's the only one I eat (other than the very cheapest instant noodles, just for the noodles), I can't tell you how it stacks up against other types

I managed to snag a case of those at Thai Binh. (It was all lonely at the end of the ramen aisle) I grabbed the creamy tomyum too, so its good if I don't like the mi goreng.

We shall see. :p

I’d usually take mum initial stake and put it in my pocket once I’d won a bit, and add to it as I got going.

Not that I had much opportunity, only going to a casino a handful of times, usually when drunk and keeping an eye on my cousin who has a bit of a problem regarding gambling.

Mostly so when I feel like raging against the machine, I punch a swan as a sleight to the queen.

The Thames is the only river the queen does not own all the swans in, actually.

The Crown has ownership of all unmarked mute swans in open water, but rights over swans can be granted. Only two companies still have them, though, which are livery companies in London.

Their chief has his number and knows him on a first name basis owing to the sheer regularity with which he's been in the right place at the right time to catch these swans. This one was a particularly close call, the two adult swans held the adolescent under the water for 30 seconds before he managed to swat them away with a mop - thanks to him, there's never been a single swan on swan casualty. He's been joking about getting one of those swan catching hooks but honestly, I think it wouldn't be remiss at this point

Most of them yeah, but it's ownership in the sense of a legal right to them, not like she keeps them in a garden or something
