Dark Souls Remastered.

60fps. A proper PC version with PC controls. 4k native resolution, 2k textures. DkSIII's password matchmaking and player cap. GOTY 2018 confirmed. Hopefully we'll get a DeS remaster someday.

I'd really hope actually fixing Lost Izaliath and a few other minor things would be on the list of features, because really that's like the only thing that would make it honestly better than the original release. If it's just upscaling and other things like that I don't really see why it would be worth getting.

From what I've heard it's not certain whether they're actually making gameplay/area changes or just making it not a shitty port + shinier. Even just the knock-on effects from optimization maybe making Blighttown less atrocious would be good.

I'm buying it because it's going to be flooded with people used to DkSIII speed chugging and roll-spamming, invasions are going to be amazing.

RIP Dark Souls Input Customizer, though. Dark Souls II may have been a pretty good port overall, but I lost more time to adjust mouse & keyboard in DkSII than adjusting it in DkS1. Playing Dark Souls games on k/m is genuinely better than inaccurate controller for me.

I played DS1 on keyboard alone. I don't know why everybody says it's so bad; the IJKL camera is actually super intuitive the way it's set up with the attack and targeting buttons.

Once you're locked on, it almost feels like a fighting game.
I still prefer my dual sticks, though.
