So, I was at the gym today, at the pullup bar, I grab it and... pull myself up? I can lift my own bodyweight now? I CAN DO REAL PULLUPS NOW?!

While a little mad that Doom for switch takes 10 gigs of extra data, I entered a twitter contest they had that says "show us your physical or digital copy of doom and you can win a statue of a revenant!"

I went all out and licked my Doom cartridge and posted a video of it as my entry. I read the rules about it and found out it is 100% allowed

Also, PSA: DON'T LICK YOUR SWITCH CARTS. They taste awful

I never knew about the apparent epidemic of cart-licking until Nintendo coated the Switch carts in something yucky, in order to fight said epidemic.

Other way around, I think. There may have been some sort of incident with 3DS carts that lead to the Switch carts being coated in bitterant, but people were licking them specifically because they found out about the bitterant. I guess it's like the Cinnamon challenge? Kids these days.

Additional happy: doing insanely well in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War where the most terrifying weapon appeared: a horseslayer (context on that: over half of your army is mounted to begin with, and most will promote and become mounted later on. Including the Lord character). Plus, Sigurd (the main character of that game) has made his way into being my favourite character in Fire Emblem. He's the first and only Lord/Main character that start out promoted, starts with one of the best weapons in the game that isn't named or plot driven, has some of the best growths for a lord in most of the games, and can slaughter entire armies alone and stand tall (which is a problem because the AI keeps targeting him and he kill steals by doing so...)

Had a close encounter with a robin. Pretty certain the little guy was thinking about landing on me multiple times (as in flew towards my head then back to a stick fence). Then he hopped around in the leaf litter looking for bugs.

An amusing toddler story:

My little boy had a (short) screaming tantrum at a restaurant. The reason? He was told he was not allowed to lick the windows.

I tell you the hardest part of raising small children is not reinforcing their bad behavior with laughter.
