A mix of Minor Happy and Mild Sad:
I just ate some snails in shells. The meat is tasty, but the sad part is that the meat amount is really small, and the price for them is pretty big, so it's not a good value.

Had a pretty rad time tonightlast night as well, and with less downsides than the previous evening. Whee.

Reposted the OP to the first Damaged Goods thread on /b/. It's a happy because /b/ gave basically the same response as in 2007, which gave a nice rush of nostalgia.

There's also some lols involved since me and Sprin are tag-teaming this to try to keep the thread from drifting to page 15 - It's kinda nice to be running the newfriends on an old obstacle course and seeing them succeed.

Even better- my best friend, whom I've pined over for years, moved out to Japan for as long as her visa could hold after breaking things off with her fiance. I've been fond of her for years, we've been thick as thieves, and I finally mustered up the courage to tell her how I really felt on the rainy nighttime streets of Nara as we held each other close under umbrellas.

She's gonna come live with me when she comes back to the states. <3

My biggest piece of advice on cohabitation is: Talk about stuff. Specifically, how you like to live and who's going to do what and about the stuff that bugs you. Be open and honest and be ready to compromise. As long as you both do that, you should be fine. The worst thing that can happen is someone lets something stupid and small fester until it blows up into an actual problem.

I can't find fucking ANYTHING on r/K selection strategies, beyond Wikipedia and people that are making passing references to it. None. Zip. Nada.

Wikipedia has references at the bottom btw. You can cite those, you never need to cite wikipedia even if that's where you got the info. I mean there seem to be tons of textbooks and papers cited at the bottom here:

Here's a tip I was given by pretty much every teacher in school: instead of using Wikipedia as a source, scroll to the bottom of the page and see what Wikipedia is using as sources. You need to be critical of them, of course, but this should get you started if you're not sure where to research the subject.
