I've never heard this one before, I just grew several watermelons in a personal garden. My only problem with them is the copious amount of seeds.

I actually kinda like the seeds, but maybe because watermelon was a rare treat food.  I haven't had any in a while.

My parents would get them for outdoor parties, particularly in the summer of course.  Fond memories of playing with other kids, which was itself a treat since we lived remotely. 
Eating watermelon alone would feel weird.

So welp my house bid finally got accepted (48 hours after expected but who's counting).  I was already getting anticipatory buyer's remorse yesterday, but I feel better now, because apparently my bid wasn't the highest.  I'm so financially responsible that they accepted less money, because they know they'll get it.  Unexpected payoff for almost neurotic idealism, wooo

I won't actually own it until after a few weeks of inspection and negotiation and stuff, but... it's a great location, adjacent to lots of stuff.  It's not some secluded lakefront mansion someone else might find ideal, it's in a good neighborhood and it's perfect and I love it.

Every watermelon I've ever tried has tasted... Grainy*. I don't like 'em.

*not like, wheat-grain. But texture-wise grainy.

Is that, uh... "normal"? Like, I don't know how young your kid is. Or when the 'normal' communication start time is. Or if you're trying to teach her sign language or if she's just coming up with it on her own. :V

My employer, Target, is voluntarily implementing the 15$ minimum wage.  It will be done gradually finishing at the end of 2020, so depending on how long I'm here this might not help me at all.  But still, good on them!  The change will be across the entire country, meaning that a private corporation will have an internal minimum wage over twice as large as the federal minimum wage.

Tomatoes aren't fruit and I don't care what your arbitrary scientific definition says, my arbitrary lingui-cultural definition trumps it. Stupid science should stop appropriating real terms for their terms. They can call their "fruits" frappligarglrs or something.
