hey who knows maybe there was a nice satisfying ending planned before the thing got released halfway finished

Note that I am not saying it's a bad game. You should totally play it just for the sneaking and tranqing and fultoning. Just don't expect anything interesting to happen after act 1.

That's alarmingly deep, from a "mandatory reading" point of view.
It's not mandatory reading, I actually sat and read through 135 chapters.

Did you enjoy it? I have it sitting on my shelf and aside from Fone Bone boring everyone with it in "Bone: Out from Boneville" I don't know too much about it.

Moby Dick isn't a book that one enjoys.

More seriously, I wouldn say that there isn't much reason to read it except for cultural purposes, since it's a Great American Novel. It'll make you understand more allusions in media to Moby Dick, beyond "lol kill a whale"

Just don't try to sit through the entire thing. I only just read one chapter a day.

More like a force o nature.
I thought the story was like "don't try to crash-tackle a hurricane"
Or maybe "choose a more reasonable arch-nemesis"
Or maybe the whole vendetta thing is a bad idea.
I dunno. Aesops.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I read Moby Dick, ostensibly for fun but really for the prestige of having read it, when I was like 12 or so and after I was done I probably couldn't retell even half of what I read. There was one chapter called "The Whiteness of the Whale" that explained, at length, why the white whale was white and not some other shade or color, or at least that's what I remember from it. I got completely lost in that one.

That said, I did like the bits with, you know, characters in them. A lot more than I did Vanity Fair, which was a different one I read in the same time period and absolutely hated.

Prestige is the only reason people read it, I'm pretty sure.

MIe too, but I'm biased. I eventually improved my original version though:
