Holy shit I got a Vive today.  I wasn't even expecting to.  I've been trying to save money for VR for two years, and didn't feel like it was getting anywhere.  I had $400 saved up, but something recently happened and I was sure my wife had to spend it.  This had happened several times already over the last couple years.  But when I told her it was $100 off today, I was shocked to find she still had that set aside, and we were able to scrape together the remainder.  Set-up was a little rough... but I just spent 40 minutes or so playing Audioshield.  Started in on Tilt Brush, but then the controllers died.  This is a good thing, or I might have stayed up all night.  I wasn't expecting this to happen today at all.

I was slipping into a pretty dark place recently, but now it's likely nothing will be bringing me down for a while.

I'd forgotten what it's like to taste vegetables that aren't just steamed to mushy blandness. Crunchy and juicy bits! Savory and sweetness! Contrasting flavors! I didn't have to drown it in cheese sauce to pretend to enjoy it! So good.

HOH, finally a day where i'm not feeling like horseshit due to inadequate sleep quality! Maybe i'll actually get something done today, which is an improvement over the past week or so. :v

@SalmonGod: I'd be lying if i said i wasn't HORRENDOUSLY JELLY right now. I wish i had money (and room) for a Vive, but alas. That, and i'm also saving up for a Cintiq, which complicates matters further.
