I wondered if Ghost in the Shell (1995) was really as good as I remembered, or if it was just a bunch of philosophy and tits that impressed me in high school. Picked it up on the Steam sale and watched it again. It's still awesome and I had a blast seeing it again.

The arise series of movies is amazingly animated, and actually really good. I'm watching SAC, but its animation isn't nearly as good. The stories are pretty good for 20 minute bits, though.

I did really like the Arise films, although the conspiracies kinda went over my head. GITS 2017 actually has Major wearing the red motorbike suit for a scene, which rather impressed me as fanservice goes.

I love Stand Alone Complex but haven't finished it. I took a break around episode 20something and just never found time to watch it again.
