I have an old android phone with a cracked screen, and the thing likes to turn itself off randomly if it's not in the charger, have it sitting around wondering if it's any use. Then my drum machine on my effects unit started screwing up. I just put 2 and 2 together. Android phone on permanent drum machine duties.

The budget smartphones commlinks in Shadowrun apparently get used similarly sometimes.  Like a somewhat pricey but intelligent bomb trigger, or "accidentally" leaving it plugged in as a hacking vector.  Or leaving Angry Birds running so digital recon thinks you're at home instead of on a run.
Raspberry Pi is really neat, but somewhat damaged smartphones are cheaper...

I've found DoW 1 trailer, It's totally awesome. I've also had my first unfortunate accident in DF, I built a microcline bridge for my mayor. When the mayor decided to take a closer look, someone pulled a lever and the mayor fell into the cavern, right next to a fire-breathing FB.

Sitting around in my new apartment waiting for furniture to be delivered. Kind of boring, but it's not a bad place at all. Neighborhood is a tiny bit iffy, like right on the border between a good neighborhood and an "ehhh" one (going by crime stats).
