I am heere to report that I got ending A in Nier Automata on the PC after a 21 hour playthrough more or less. So I was wrong something topped it today, and wow do I need something to help fill the time I don't play videogames.

How did I never find the GDC "Classic Game Postmortems" on Youtube before?  These are wonderful!
Games over such a wide range of time - Myst, Marble Madness, Populous, Doom by John "make you his bitch" Carmack, Marble Madness, LOOM...  but also FTL and Portal 2.

The Marble Madness one is particularly interesting in how they how to react to the Video Game Crash of '82 while making expensive cabinets.  They cut corners, and they innovated, and it's inspiring.
The Doom one is mostly interesting because John Romero is actually pretty cool, though certainly egocentric.  It focuses on the level design.
Diablo was the first I saw, and confirmed not only that it was based on Nethack/Rogue...  But Angband!    ANGBAND!  Also a lot of insight into their total lack of financial sense, which led to their acquirement by Blizzard.

IDK this series is just really hitting my gaming nerd, retro focus, occasionally programmer, sweet spot.  I did not know this information on these absolutely classic games was *anywhere*, much less on Youtube.  I'm nerding out, and I think some of you have similar interests (and probably knew about this years ago).  I gave it a day just to make sure it was real, and wow, it keeps surprising me.

Marble Madness?  Why do I remember that name from somewhere?

I may have brought it up, it was one of the first games I played... ever.
I played it on a PC in like... 1990 at the earliest, but apparently it was an arcade cabinet game.  Briefly popular, but too short.  And it's fascinating how they tried to innovate certain things (like a haptic-feedback trackball) but the video game crash of '82 stopped them.  Yet they still innovated to do a lot with very limited hardware.

I have discovered GBA emulators for android. My phone is turning into a game laden hell, send help. (don't really, I'm only losing sleep and productivity, nothing much)

Edit: And now I find there's PSP ones too :O

Also Rolan, that link lead me to a post-mortem of Prince of Persia, the first PC game I played, this is gonna be an interesting watch, thanks for that
