Today was a good day.

Sometimes when people say that it's just 'oh, [GOODTHING] happened and it made my day', but this day? This was legitimately a Good Day, beginning to end, assuming I don't get a heart attack in the next twenty minutes left to midnight.

Aced classes, went to two great events in very good company of vaguely unofficially relationshippey persuasion, just... general YAY!

It's been in the mid 20's recently (little below freezing) and we got some snow, which was nice.  But yesterday it was a *perfect* mid-50's all day, with scattered showers, and then it rained lightly all night!  It felt really good to open the windows and let the wind through.

Even now, it's pleasantly overcast with a gentle breeze through my window.  The squirrels keep screaming and the occasional crow caws.  It's perfect.
As a part-time morlock who still loves nature, overcast days are the best <3

A while ago there was this:

So there's this girl I like, who I'm on good terms with (she turned me down a while ago, so that's worth mentioning). Also she's one of the few intellectually-minded people I know IRL. A couple days ago I argued with her for a bit about religion and its place in society and so forth. Finding out that I'm a practicing Catholic apparently weirded her out a bit.

I took a bit of offense to that, I have to admit. So I went home and thought the whole topic through again, and then wrote it down to send her an email. I told her that it was essentially a braindump and that sending that email was just to have a reason to write out the whole thing.

She replied. Extensively. I haven't read it yet. It is terrifying.

I never did reply to that. A week or two later she asked why - I told her something about a) text being a bad medium for that sort of conversation, and b) the initial plan having been her not even reading the original text.
Then I invited her to discuss it over coffee, and she went along with it :3
