Just finished watching the complete edition of Metropolis with all of the restored footage. God damn, what a brilliant work (from a technical standpoint, the blunt moralizing is more than a little dated for a contemporary audience). I can understand why people back in the day said that talkies were the death of cinema, the acting and cinematography were fuckin' excellent.

Yes that.
I feel like the 2004 version is a lot better than the originals, though.  Lots of cheesy cinematics, but...  You never have to read a manual, but it's still damn hard on the harder difficulties (which give you a bigger share of the loot, and you're expected to switch between expeditions).  It's on Steam and, unlike many Steam games from 2004, it actually still works well.
More a commentary on Sid Meier than Steam...  Disregard, I'm salty about old Steam games being sold and ignored

I guess the main thing is that in the original, I have no idea how to anticipate the enemy's sword moves.  In the 2004 version, they're clearly telegraphed - they just come quick.  I'm sure there's a way to anticipate in the original, but I couldn't find it.

That buggy pirate game is called Raven's Cry. I saw it in Angry Joe's "Top 10 WORST 2015 games" as his number 1 and I can see why. Also, it was once removed (99,9% probability it were devs) from Steam and renamed Vendetta: A Cry For Raven or something like that, then it got removed from Steam forever.

Looks like Sergarr knew the name of the "game" before I recalled it.
