Ah, finished pounding out my finals. Six more credit hours until I have my Master's and can fuck off from universities forever.

What field is it in?

MLIS. Mostly doing electives on the tech side of things.

Thanks for the detailed answer. A rather depressing one, though. I've got some money saved up, but no longer have a job and have been incapable of getting one, though I've tried. At this point I'm probably just going to go into a factory. It's rather annoying when you see places you applied for hiring people you know are completely unsuited for the task, but still weaseled in anyway.
Edit: On the rent front, it depends on where I go. If it's Belfast I'll be fine, because my sister bought a house there and has mentioned letting me stay with her. Even without that, Belfast is just close enough to travel to from home.

I'd pay rent to sister, not to my parents. My sister probably wouldn't accept rent, but I'd do my best to offer it. My parents would be offended at the idea - it's a big farmhouse, and it's sort of seen as the "family house" rather than their house. Though, of course, it is theirs

Edit again: Here's to hoping the UK is less expensive. My only course is to collect as much money as possible in the time remaining, and maybe take a year out if needed, which I really don't want to do. You seem to have a certain amount of scepticism towards university - being glad to leave and all - but it's been the best time of my life. I absolutely love it.

I know we do at Under Grad level. We only pay the loan back when we have a job which provides a certain amount of money, and the interest is minimal. However, I don't know how funding for Masters works, or even if it's available.

My anxiety has been receding, particularly after seeing gma, and I think I can enjoy Christmas again.  Last year was a fluke, or actually justified by events at the time.  Now is... better.

Particularly since I'm going to see a friend (one of our group, the only one I haven't met in person) a couple days before!
It'll be like Thanksgiving.  It'll be really nice, though on a timer.  But the schedule, despite meeting 4 groups who won't even speak to each other, shouldn't overexert my social tolerance (:
