Man, it's always surprising to me when I hear other people talk about something I use constantly as if they have no clue what it is, this is just like that time I realized Xan didn't know about you could click the small "NEW" button beside thread titles to go to the first unread post.
That said, I'm unsure if I use the new replies tab correctly, since I'll never visit some of the threads it alerts me about and instead use them as hotlinks to the board they're on.

Also I have never used this unread posts/new replies feature, and i do not plan on using it, as i like seeing new forum games/other threads. i just use middle-mouse to open all the usual threads i go on, and go by which links are blacked out showing that ive clicked them :V

Managed to get the fire going again from just a couple coals and a half burnt out round. Not sure why it didn't burn through the whole thing, but now hopefully itll stay warm the rest of the night.
