I have ice cream, and ice cream is always a happy unless you're lactose intolerant or something.

Guess what! :P
Then you have to settle for a lollipop.

I'd rather Apple 🍎 pie 🍰 actually.

Been having a hilarious Civ 6 game against my roommate over the weekend.  Over the last 15 turns:

- I set 4 spies to instigate rebellion in one of his cities on the same turn, only two succeeded, but 4 mechanized infantry rebels kept him occupied.

- In response to this and my ultra-successful imminent space race projects, he sends a thermonuclear bomb via a nuclear submarine to devastate my city.  Little did he know that it was a BAIT spaceport.   :P

- I respond by nuking every single one of his cities with (smaller) nukes via my 4 missile silos and two submarines.

- He nukes Paris(occupied by me, Kongo), which had another bait space port.

- I manage to find one of his submarines.  Attacking is risky, so I back off and toss a nuke at it.

- Roommate makes fun of me for missing his submarine.  How could I have forgotten its position in a mere 30 seconds!?!?!

- I toss another nuke at it.

- Roommate makes fun again for missing it.  I realize he's messing with me and the first one hit.

- Roommate tosses yet another thermonuclear device at my spaceport that has my last space race project being built.  Nooooooo.  I guess he's got another submarine somewhere.

- I nuke a bit of ocean I suspect he is firing from.  Germany suffers some collateral damage.   :P

- He sneaks a helicopter in and takes Paris!  Then he liberates Paris!  France is back in the game and probably annoyed at everyone.

Game to be concluded later tonight.   :P

*fun CIV 6 Stuff*

I always manage to get the RNG against me for some reason.
Gorgo was my closest neighbour (yet again), which is almost grounds for instant restart.
And then someone gets the Stonehenge built before me, while I'm trying to get a religious victory.

I'm waiting for the inevitable "complete edition" with all DLC

That would likely take a year or two, no longer than three though.

It is so good even without DLC.

Also, I'm Greece atm and have so many Great Writers. My friend has been raging, because every time he's going to get one, I get it.

Would you say that Greece would be good for a Space Race playthough?
As in, getting to the required techs a bit faster than everyone else?

I'm not sure if it's indicative or not, but I'm also first in Science, against at least one person who I admit is better at the game than I am.
I think it might be good, yes. Culture and science are a lot more linked now.

While depressing, the last Last Week Tonight for the year was also a happy.
This is probably the best Last Week Tonight I've seen yet (to be fair that's a sorta small sample size) and the best response to the election, honestly. I was worried he wouldn't be serious enough or would just play the blame game like I've seen so many people do lately, but this manages to be funny yet sober, hopeful without dismissing people's fears or flat out denying the past, and says exactly what needed to be said.
It makes me want to get an actual sticky note that says "this is not normal" and put it where I can see it every day.

Tack, if you can't watch it (I can't either), I found it on twitter, and that worked. Maybe just look it up on dailymotion or something.
