That said, comfort and fun with family for the 'long' weekend until Tuesday--although it's partly cut in by worrying about the thesis (due 2nd week, November ;~;) and probably worth a huge blow to emotions and otherwise, along with heavy anxiety limit breaking if it fails, I'm happy to be with my 4-year-old-niece and family, and family!

Not getting enough sun is rare due to school being largely outside (a bunch of rooms with most walking space is outside) and the fact that the sun in New Zealand is like ALWAYS HERE. Either that, or it's raining. It's not *hot*, we just have one of the highest rates of sunburn, I think.

Yeah. There's blocks of rooms, and outside paths between all of them. There's trees n shit pretty much everywhere too.

This is pretty common for schools in my area, from elementary all the way up to college. It's nice! Sure, you get a little wet if it's raining, but you get some fresh air between classes and there's plenty of room to hang out during lunch breaks. It's also almost impossible to avoid getting at least a little sunlight.

Both primary (elementary) school and high school were "mostly outside" in my schooling experience.
No idea how that compares to inside schools since I don't think I went to any schools that weren't like that, despite going to a bunch of different primary schools. Huh. If this post doesn't make much sense, it's because I'm tired. Please accept my most heartfelt apologies.

Edit: Oh, as for actual Happies, I just bought a bunch of heavily-discounted games from the Steam Halloween sale and am currently listening to some gosh-darned awesome music. This moment's not so bad, I suppose.

I missed a discussion on rain being nice??  Well just for the record, I love rain.  Even though it's uncomfortable and gross a lot of the time, I love that about it too.  I love all the memories it reminds me of.  Of reading quietly by the window, of being on mile 70 of some tobacco field my eyes raw from the spray, of huddling off the side of the embankment when I couldn't see the road ahead, of skidding on the final turn home because oh fuck fuck that strike made my hair stand up and sounded 2 blocks away.  Of seeing it approach over the lake, all the campers laughing and shouting as they rushed inside.  Of some of the best and worst moments of my life, which the sky always seems to open up for and comfort me.
