Sure they aren't beating the stuffing out of each other for real, but they're still grown men putting their bodies on the line for your amusement. The line between acting and striking can also get pretty blurred with the more stiff performers too.

Absolutely. The example that comes to mind is Daniel Bryan retired from in the ring wrestling earlier this year after getting concussed a hell of a lot led to him getting severe medical issues. It's a dangerous line of work all the same.
