The point of the matter is it's a day that's supposed to make it feel like you can be yourself, if you can already be yourself for the entire rest of the year joking around about it just seems a bit insulting.

Jewish is also IIRC a religion, which is kind of in between of being a lifestyle choice and being inherent, considering how some religions mandate parents to forcefully indoctrinate their children into it.

I'm sorry, I was poking fun at the concept of idiots being disallowed when we're here anyway, not in reference to the holiday or the rest of the conversation.
