Welcome to the fold, sibling o7

Though I'm pretty sure the upper boards use Darkling by default, so everyone ought to be at least a little exposed to it :P

Yeah, there's a reason a lot of folks prefer Darkling. I use similar color schemes on text editors and such too... Easy on the eyes!

I started out on the upper boards with an old account (don't remember the username or password). Wandered down here at some point and I've been stuck ever since.

And yeah I've used Darkling basically since I found the option to use it :P

I came to DF from TVTropes I'm fairly sure, then the forums from there. Interest in DF waned but I like posting in emotions threads, and there's a bunch of stuff in OG that interests me.

Honestly, as much as I like dark-background white-text formats, Darkling bugs the shit out of me. The brown/gold link colors, the (New) posts button being on the left of the thread title, the special dorf board images being more difficult to distinguish the different read-states, the wonky font on the thread control buttons...

I came cause a friend invited me, and I spent most of my time in FG&RP, before eventually branching out. But I've pretty much used Darkling the whole time I've been here, so I dunno.

Default theme makes my eyes hurt. I generally don't like large amounts of white colouring.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I heard about the game a while back, but I only tried it this year. Looked at the license; played the game; got pissed after one of my forts dehydrated due to a lack of ice-to-water conversion which would allow me to harvest frozen water; posted a suggestion; got ignored; tried to help Sappho; got insulted by MoonyTheHuman; then continued to post. I like WW1 Medic better.

DF's interface is just bad.
It used to make me happy, though, which is pretty relevant.  It was very important to me, still is a bit.
But then it got worse... and years later, it's slightly even worse.
Welp!
Guess that's how it goes when one guy is doing everything while moderating a fitful forum
