I got to play around with a Hololens for a bit today.

It was pretty interesting. Its ability to track your movement and keep a hologram in a fixed position was really impressive, but it also had quite a few flaws that need to be ironed out. Overall, I'd say it's not ready for the consumer market yet, but I can see the technology getting big in the next five years or so.

That comes from the results of genetic testing one of my siblings recently had done. Finland and GB were known from my Mom's side, but Eastern Europe and Ireland were a bit of a surprise. Helps explain the reddish-auburn hair that runs in the family, and how my dad and brother's beards are speckled with red and brown at the same time.

I kinda want to do this now, though I'd like to get a more detailed report on medical risk factors and such. How neat is it to live in an era when we can do this kinda stuff?
