I cannot express properly the blind rage I experience whenever I see people talking about "cringe" as if it's not functionally equivalent to saying "i hope they get beat up"

Which it isn't. Cringe, to me, is more equivalent to "I'm embarrassed on your behalf".

Yeah. I've never really heard it used in any other way.

Googling it brings up the subreddit and this definition first, both of which are built entirely on what I said there.

Youtube, reddit. I try to avoid it but my youtube subscriber base has a horrifyingly large overlap with LeafyIsHere, who legitimately thinks that "cringe" should mean "kill yourself".

That's the first time I've heard such a definition of cringe myself. Tho I guess I'm neither a redditor nor an avid YT comment reader, so I guess I dodged those bullets.

Anyways, personal happy, painting is going really well, despite it being 2 AM, me being hungry as fuck because I ate only once today and my room being freaking hot because it's summer, my laptopt is working and the room is neither big nor conducive to getting proper air circulation going :V
