Well I would tell you but I'm asphyxiating so X_X

I was driving on the way to Knoxville and it was rainy on the way back, so I don't have pictures of the best parts...  my favorite were the gaps where the mountains were high and steep on either side, and there were these giant chainmail nets in places to stop falling rocks.  Chainmail links a couple feet wide...

Within half an hour of me...  I do drive the parkway occasionally, but I really want to do it more.  And it's a lot cooler when someone (dad) is pointing out every peak's name, and telling stories from his hiking and long-distance cycling days.

Ah, the road-cuts. We've got a lot of those in Kentucky as well. For anyone not living in hilly country, we're talking about cuts that can get totally vertical, flush against the road shoulder, and 15m+ high on both sides. Can get even better out in the Appalachians, like he said.

Rolan, you ever seen one of those steep cuts in winter when they get covered in sheets of ice?

I haven't!  Though the mountains looked great during the ice storm.  Too bad the Parkway closes in the winter.
I'm seeing some pictures now, and yes, ice does great things with an incline...

Yeah, it was really big (possibly bigger than is predecessor Syrupleaf in terms of participation) through 2014+15. After it died there was still a fair bit of interest in a sequel, but that's been on hold because of new DF versions and a slow time updating the mods.

In light of my oncoming "Graduation" from home school/end of first partial year at college/me complaining about my old one for six months, my father, who happens to have been a professional bike mechanic a few times, has stuck together a new set of wheels for me.

Very smooth gears, actual shifters, fatter road tires, and a more comfortable height. This thing is great, yo!

Actually, a few things, I suppose. A new chair/piece of furniture, maybe even a new bike (he's no mechanic though so he might find a few difficulties), or maybe what he actually does at his job...

A semiconductor... You know, one of the many components of various electronics... Useful, eh?
