I was mowing. I dislike mowing.

But mowing is fun!

Not when there's two hours' worth to do. And lots of trees to navigate around.

Builds character though. Also exercise. And it feels good to get it done.

I would LOVE a riding mower...  Except it's prohibitively huge for the amount of yard we have and there'd be nowhere to store it.

And it was a push-mower!
Well we had a gas one, the push one was just more badass/less boring.  I never managed the whole yard with it (it was basically just a fun way to exercise).

We have a push and a ride. I don't like the ridealong, it's weird and doesn't respond well to my commands. Push mowers for life-I need the upper body strength anyway, I GUESS.

New episode of Red Vs Blue out.  I really want/don't want to do a binge watch of the series again, but simply hearing all the old voices is already enough to get the memories flooding back. 

Plus its fucking hilarious.

Family visit went really well, yesterday and today.  Feeling really good about myself and kinda proud of them too.  We even had some stressful things happen and everybody handled themselves like adults, it was amazing

I wasn't drunk or anything (always seems like a great idea until the day before they arrive, at which point I realize it's REALLY not).  I was a little dopey yesterday from having a mere hour of sleep (and two days of 4), but I barely showed it until late in the evening.  Side effect of getting old, I suppose, sleepy sooner but more able to withstand it a day or two.  Point is I was well-rested and alert today, and everything was still peachy!

I mean I was cooped up with them in a car for hours yesterday.  But we happened to be driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains to Tennessee, which was almost breathtakingly beautiful at points.  And today we toured the parkway for... a mere 3 hours, and saw such wonderful things.  So close to where I live (I took notes).

Finished up with some reggae music at the Highland Brewing Company, which apparently happens every Sunday!  I didn't just make a plan to come see it next week, I actually added an alarm to my phone to remind me.

Everything that happened on this trip feels somewhat unreal.  Idunno.  It felt really good, at least in such a brief dose.  Another day and I'd be getting anxious and reclusive I'm sure.  But that "time limit" has been slowly getting longer (not counting the Christmas debacle).
