Saw X-Men: Apocalypse last night. It was fun! Not as good as the last two, and pretty predictable in a lot of places, but well worth seeing.

That Quicksilver scene, though.

Pretty much the best part of the movie, IMHO. The rest of it was kinda just another chapter in the endless run of effects-heavy superhero movies.

I did like the fact that my all-time favorite mutant was in it, though.

Man I somehow managed to finish that flappy bird thing complete with a python backend to record the data (which is the entire point!).

First time using JS, first time doing networking stuff, first time using databases, I think I did a pretty good job c:

Eh, I'd rather not. The game just assigns a unique identifier and then records the score every time you lose, though.

The other scene I liked was the

one where Apocalypse takes control of all the nukes. The stakes are ramped all the way to 11 in a couple of seconds, and even if it was a bit disappointing that he just sorta flies them off the planet, the speech he gives is awesome.

And, yeah. Nightcrawler was also very neat.

Okay yeah, that part was cool. That speech he gave about firing arrows from the top of the Tower of Babel was indeed awesome.

I'm actually glad that the nukes didn't all fall down, because if they had then it would basically be the end of the world unless the writers could contrive some major bullshit to avert it.

My happy is that I FINALLY managed to get libtcod to work properly. Actually, that's kind of misleading. Let's say that libtcod finally started working properly and I was nearby. After hours and hours of trying increasingly silly and irrational fixes and installing semi-related programs to help figure out what needed fixing, I eventually got fed up and just redid everything from the top. And now it works. I SWEAR this is exactly how I had it at first, when it spat oodles of errors at me. But the important thing is that it works.
