So there's been another ACM ICPC - an international student programming competition - and hoooly shit those are some big names on that roster. And SPSU beat them all. More than that, fully half the winners are Russian university teams. That makes one hope that one is hopefully getting a non-backwater education.

I read over the problems in that competition, and while I couldn't think of a way to tackle most of them, I really like how the judges must have had a lot of fun thinking of suitable backronyms for 'ACM' and 'ICPC'.

I mean, I have initially watched it a while back, but then I was sort of passing some time alone and I have decided to put up some gun porn.

So my 240 box of tea is running out, and I feel sad - yet simultaneously, joy at what I had. I drink 4 mugs of tea a day on a light day, and I was only one of three that regularly drank multiple mugs or cups a day, and of more who occasionally took from my metaphorical teachest. During one particularly glorious day I found tea cheaper than I had ever seen it before in my life, some charity sale thing. This wasn't cheap tea either - it was the good stuff. I was shocked that no one was buying it because they thought it was expensive and unnecessary, when in reality it was the greatest value I had ever seen in my life.
I bought sacks of the stuff, boxes stacked full of the stuff, and I got it all for less than £20. I had 3 years supply on a heavy drinker's consumption worth of tea multiplied threefold for less than £20.
That tea ran out a few weeks ago and since then I've been replacing them with monthly boxes. Today I realize the value of what I enjoyed, the true happiness that having three year's worth of tea nearly for free brought me. Today I know, and I tip a double toast - one of sherry, one of typhoo - at the tea workers, at the sales team, at the managers and whoever who made those 3 years possible. Bless them, bless them verily!!!

The engravings alone are masterfully done, though the masonic emblem on the top probably didn't win the man many friends. It's pretty impressive technically as well. Should be interesting to see how much it sells (sold?) for.

Some dude down in the comment section stated that it was sold for $67500. There is no video for hammer prices of that month's auction on the channel, and the auction page doesn't help as well, but I assume that named figure's probably legit.
