Am I the only one who didn't have a crap experience with middle school?

I don't even remember junior high.  Nothing really awful, but nothing exemplary, either.  It was just a generic blur between elementary and senior high school.

Then again, I barely remember either of those, either.

I mostly just had a shit-tier school experience because of how many people enjoyed seeing me being miserable (there were an unholy shitload of assholes in that school, even some of the little kids were respectless little fucks that should have been spanked with an oar thanks to the THRIVING gangsta culture in there), but despite that, i've never actually gone to misanthropy. That has probably also been helped along by the fact that everything past that school has been pretty great socially. Hating select groups of people, for sure (read: "gangsta" is second only to terrorists in terms of what makes me angry enough to sublimate on the spot), but i remain cautiously optimistic for humanity as a whole. I mean, there are clearly people who would prefer that we stayed in the middle ages and/or haven't really evolved past chimps in their mindset, but thankfully they're outnumbered quite significantly.

But that's mostly because I spent those three years averaging three hours of sleep a night. I don't remember those years very well, nevermind just the school hours :V

Saw Zootopia this afternoon. Man, Disney is rolling through the "Here, use this movie as a springboard to start discussions with your kids about difficult subjects" list. First depression, now racism/sexism.

I'm guessing their next movie will be "Unwed Mother Snow White's Big Decision" or "Winnie-the-Pooh seeks help for his honey addiction".

Don't get me wrong, I think both Inside Out and Zootopia are great films, I'm just still mentally adjusting to kids movies being a lot more nuanced than when I was a kid. It's a good thing.

Well the Chief Creative Officer of Pixar is also the CCO of Disney Animation, so I'm inclined to say no.

I don't pay too much attention to corporate stuff like that, but I know Disney owns them. Any independence they have is gonna be limited.

Yeah, considering John Lasseter is still involved in both Pixar and Disney Animation, the line between the two has become exceedingly blurry.

LOL I became SUCH an asshole in middle school.
Cuz of some bullying I was paranoid as fuck, saw everyone as an enemy.
Looking back I coulda lost my virginity SOOOO much earlier (and SOOOO much more satisfyingly) if I had just looked at things differently.

But then I achieved my stated goal of getting through it without shooting anybody, so it worked for the most part.
