No seriously, it's pretty great. I dunno if there are any branching paths or anything, but the story seems great so far, and the characters are very significantly alive. The visuals are great too even on the lowest graphics setting (which is all Leo the Laptop can handle, but then usually it can't handle anything at all).

Movie idea.

Starts seeing a writer that just got into movie scripts had always wanted to write and direct his own movie from a young age. Has a x version script that he wrote but is not really known yet to even get the money to produce the movie. So he is in the very bottom of the barrel and a studio needed a throw away script for a movie they just needed to get done with. He wrote it and didnt care much for it but that movie became a big hit. So he was asked to do a sequel, which he accepted to get the money to do his own movie. Another hit as well with the third and the fourth. The only problem is all the movies are horrible but people think there's a deeper meaning and insight in them so they have to watch the next to see what is the writer is showing them.

The guy now is frustrated about the whole thing because at that point he is just writing throw aways just to get a bad movie to be able to work on his own project but cant because of the contract they gave him after the second was a hit. He took the contract thinking the love of those movies will die out in the third to fourth film but now on the eighth and still going strong is now making him furious and he is starting to loose it.

By now the movies had made a movement of followers that try to find any meaning in every scene to discern the final message. One guy that is considered the "rival" of the main character now pops up doing exactly the same as the main character but is serious about it. Rival is trying to best, on what he thinks, his final opposition to be the most insightful writer/director in Hollywood not realizing the main character was just writing dribble to get the chance he wanted.

At that point main character has a mental breakdown because of the insanity of the whole thing and just fades away from the movie business. Que in random good actor that calls the main character a fraud for doing all those movies like they were nothing. Main character explains the situation and the actor still thinks hes full of shit for doing those movies but likes the fact he is at least honest about it. After a few other meetings with other people, he decides to go back to those movies since he needs a way to do a comeback to do his magnum opus the way he wants.

Main character writes like everything in the movies has a meaning and a deep complex philosophic thought behind them and blows away the rival like it was nothing. Fast fowards to the main event of his life. The premier of his magnum opus and it completely bombed. People were outraged that he repeated all his work in one movie and didnt think of something new. Absolutely devastated, the main character ends up killing himself. About a year later from the tragedy, a random person that hated all the previous movies of the Main character absolutely loved his very last that bombed. After looking at what everyone loved, he found out main character had in fact make parts of his Magnum opus in all of his other movies by mistake through his subconscious and found out that his magnum opus was the originator of all the other insights. After having the 5 mins of fame for figuring out, he is a bar when the actor had talked to the main character had just showed up to take a seat next to him. They talk a little bit about the whole thing and the guy always wanted to know what exactly the actor said to him to make him go back to the business to do his personal movie. As before, he said the guy was full of shit but now after the movie came out, still full of shit but good shit.

Looked up a trailer, looks neat. Downloading now, playing this evening.
I'm uninstalling if this goes into jumpscares some way through the plot tho.
