Of course, I played all those, too.  They just didn't have as much an effect on me.  Except maybe Half-Life... but that was a bit later on... past the age of true childhood nostalgia... especially since I didn't have a computer that was able to run it properly until it was already relatively old

I found a cheap copy of Shadow of Mordor, compatible with my outdated rig! After some uncertainty, I am highly pleased with the game in general. The combat system is pretty much what I want from a fantasy game.

Logically built dwarves are good. I'm only like two hours in, but I can definitely say the throwing knives pleased me greatly. This game is, while not necessarily the height of my current preferences, basically exactly what 13-year-old-me wanted from a game, and it is amazing. Infinite throwing knives, magic bows, cool sword-based acrobatics, wooo.

That sounds like a 10/8 to me, specifically (3+3+4)/8.

By the way, do you know Ozric Tentacles? It reminds me of their stuff a lot, you might enjoy it.
