Personally, I find knowing how a thing works can make it even neater. At least with technological stuffs. Plus rainbows are actually super cool in how they appear like they do.

I feel like your issues are more to do with self-esteem than any actual fault. At the very least, you're clearly not traditionally stupid. I mean, you managed to learn DF!

My mum maintains she drove through a rainbow.

A perfectly reasonable woman whose judgement I trust 99.99999% of the time. Thankfully that seems to be the only crazy notion she's ever had. I quizzed her and checked. "Do you think Unicorns are real?" "No." "Good."

There's a loophole - localised terror and destruction are permitted. Not so good. :/
