Ugh, I would kill for a tech job. There are approximately negative four thousand in my local area.

I guess it helps that I'm in Thailand, which, like other developing countries, has a tech boom going on.

And it also helps that my boss is my dad's friend.

Yeah.... I kind of feel bad about benefitting from nepotism, but I'm not exactly a shining paragon of virtue who would refuse a job just because I had an unfair advantage.

Don't feel bad. I'd do it if I could. Alas, my father is an unemployed factory rat who builds junk racecars out of spare parts and cuts vinyl stickers (car decals) in his spare time, and my mom is on disability (finally.) My brother is an unemployed shut-in, and my sister lives in the UK. Not like any of them can help me.

I would kill for a job, period.  Educated as an aerospace engineer, could only find work as an IT grunt in a basement, and now unemployed and looking at factory jobs.  But this is the wrong thread for that sort of thing.

Got over my funky mood...  A little past midnight, but still.  Been making good progress on work since then.  Thinking I'll continue on for another hour, maybe two (IE 5:30AM).  This should actually adjust my sleep schedule in the right direction.

It just feels really good to be productive after such a day.  Plus this particular work is relatively tedious, so I can listen to retsupurae at the same time.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra was great...except for one old lady sitting in front of me, gabbing loudly to her neighbors and thrashing her head and arms about at times. Felt like kicking her chair.

Other than that though, it was a fantastic night.

So I tried the free game 'Brawlhalla'. It's on steam. Has a pretty great business model-you'll be used to it if you've ever played SMITE. It's SSB on PC and the controls, graphics, and everythingness is tighter than a mothers biscuit cabinet.
