I have apparently built a computer, which apparently works. Booted first time.

One of the fans makes an occasional buzzing/grinding noise though... bothersome considering I think it's the processor fan :-\

Check to make sure there's no wires in any fans.

Retsupurae is redoing Ripper. Besides the fact that I much prefer Diabeetus to Lowtax, they'll probably finish it this time. It was highly unusual that they didn't finish the game in the first place, anyway.

Yesssss!  It really sucked that they didn't finish.  I like the Lowtax/Slowbeef vids but Diabeetus is great too.  The Lowtax colabs made a neat change I guess.  Like the really old ones where Chip helped out.

Those are all words, but for some reason I can't comprehend that combination of them at all. *follows link*

Lowtax is alright, but I wouldn't watch his videos on their own.

Also, I didn't realize that half the videos were on Retsupurae and half the videos were on Lowtax's channel until long after Rhianna Rouge and Ripper were both finished. That made it really inconvenient to watch them.

Have you checked for any packets of silica gel stuffed in the case? That caught me out a couple of months ago.

I don't think there is, I was around that case like a clingy partner and didn't see anything that wasn't s'posed to be there.

My thought is it might just be the lever thing to keep the processor fan secure, because there's nothing to secure it to so it's kind of just resting against some... metal things around the fan. Wires are, for the most part, tied together and kind of out the way.

I don't think it's a big deal, else I'd be looking for a new processor already heh.

They're letting us out of work two hours early for Thanksgiving and I just finished everything I had to do today.

Tomorrow I get a chance to talk to my crush again, after panicking last weekend and not really daring to send any more messages.

errors have been made

it turns out it is possible to add too much fat to mashed potatoes

i had to run out to the grocery store and buy some potato flakes to thicken it back up

nobody can know my secret shame

on the other hand, i have mashed potatoes and beer now so that's pretty fucking great

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
