I managed to crank out an update for an new illustrated game without it looking like this monstrosity.

Of course, it took several times as long as I expected it to, and I don't have a ton of time, so this game might not live very long. Still, it was fun to draw.

It's an SCP, one of the older ones as far as I know.
IIRC it's a weeping angel made of concrete and human excrement, basically.  Except instead of [REDACTED], it snaps your neck.

Actually it's made of rebar and foam concrete. The shitblood just randomly appears on the floor of the containment chamber.

Oh, I thought the angels only did that time-teleport thing (hilariously, providing them with sustenance).  Huh.  And that's amazing that the SCP predated them, come on Modern Dr Who.

It was good to see the classics recognized.  It didn't do any of them justice, but that's not their fault...  nothing could.  The Marathon Story Pages come close, though.

Pathways into Darkness had thermal goggles which were needed to see some of the misshapen flesh-things of the pyramid.  But... certain other enemies were coldblooded.

Every enemy had a different line of text when it killed you.  Some poked fun at the player.  Others...  Well, it's essentially a Mythos game.  And then...

You wake up weeks, perhaps months later, staring at the stars and wondering "Where the Hell's my roof?"

Edit:
E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy pulled the same trick with thermal vision.  Mythos creatures, those of the immaterium, were almost invisible through the lens of technology.  Like they were only as real as a disturbing thought, a deadly impulse.  Real enough to kill, but not to see.
