Posted on my university job board (sometimes employers with ties to the school put things there first because loyalty and stuff) is an opening as a part-time legal assistant (basically a secretary) at a local law firm. I've been super seriously considering going into law after college, but that would be an awesome way to at least kind of get a feel for what that kind of work is before going bajillions of dollars in debt. I'd honestly do it without pay, but money would be nice, too. I know that jobs are super competitive and all that, but I think I've got a decent chance at it, and if not there's always another. This is less a happy at this specific event (which may lead to disappointment) but more a happy that I live in a city with so many cool opportunities (and nice public transportation).

But now I have to update my resume which is a nightmare and I hate doing it and I need to find someone to proofread who actually knows what they are doing and blah.

Hooray, weather was absolutely perfect for lunar eclipse (clear sky, crystal clear air, no haze etc)! Biggest problem is that i had to stay up till like 4AM in order to see it topping, but hey, it was cool. As a bonus, i got to look at the sky with SUPER NIGHT VISION(tm), and dear god i'm not sure i've ever seen that many stars so clearly before. Did i mention that the air was clear as all hell? Because it was. I could actually see the milky way fairly clearly. Probably helps that the moon wasn't glaring in my vision as it normally would. :v

No blood moon in Africa. The apocalypse was cancelled due to lack of infrastructure. Edit: I'm told it did happen, I just didn't know. My case rests.


Just went for a long, relaxing bike ride. I should do that more often. It's a pity there's not really anywhere particular to go, though.
